Wow this has been a crazy week and it is only half over!!:) We had a Dr appt for Emilie on Tues. It went well and we are hoping after today's appt we will see good results!
Randy woke up yesterday with Right side pain. I took him to the Dr after Em's appt and they sent us on to the ER. They aren't ruling the appendix out but all the tests came back ok. They sent us home and told us to watch him closely. I was up every two hours last night. Can you imagine looking in on your 16 yr old every 2 hours. It reminded me of when he was a baby and was so sick with croop and pneumonia and he was barely a yr old. He was a pretty sick little guy for about the first year and a half. Now he tends to be our healthiest one. Anyway...got a little side tracked...We had to go to our regular Dr today and they reread all of the results and wanted him to see a GI specialist asap. So...we have an appt tomorrow. He is still in some pain but he said not as bad as yesterday. We will see what tomorrow brings.
We have had some good news as well...it looks like we have moved up on the waitlist. I will know for sure what the count is when I see the Fri update. BUT referrals of any kind are a blessing these days! :)
Please keep our family in your prayers as we see what Em's appt today brings and Randy's appt tomorrow brings and for more REFERRALS...there can never be too many! Lots and lots of families are waiting for their little ones.
Blessings~

After 3 years of "waiting" we are now on a new journey to raise our little guy. I hope you enjoy reading about our life with this precious little guy! ***And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose. Romans 8:28

26 WEEKS...& 6 MONTHS!
Today we hit 26 weeks and officially 6 months waiting for our little guy. I had really hoped we would be very close to getting our referral if not have it! But then I feel guilty because some have been on the waitlist for so much longer.
I am very thankful for those who are praying for us. I know if they were not I would go crazy!
I am finding things to do that occupy my time so that I am not infront of the computer 24/7. We have been playing outside and even went to the park yesterday. It was fun.
This weekend will be another busy one. We have a scout thing for the first half of the day on Saturday and then we are going to my parents to celebrate a delayed Easter. Sunday is Church and not sure what else we will do.
PRAYING FOR REFERRALS AND PEACE FOR THOSE STILL WAITING!
Blessings~AND Have a wonderful weekend!

HEY GOD IT'S ME...TINA???
Lately, I have wanted to shout this at the top of my lungs! God, are you there? Are you listening? Why this wait, again? What am I supposed to learn? Now...I have no doubt He knows my name and He is carrying me as I sit and beg Him for answers. He is here and I am sure saying...All in good time. I don't doubt that He has had His hand in our adoption from day 1. I have seen the things He has worked for good. I know this wait will all be forgotten when our little guy is in our arms. I am trying to "keep the faith" and remember who is in control!
Praying for referrals!!

***Thank you, Lord for walking through refining fires beside me. I am grateful that when my burdens seem too heavy, You reassure me. Your presence and Your word promise me that I am not suffering all alone. Your might shadows my weakness and fear, and You take all my anxiety away when I lay it down at your feet.

25 WEEKS...and another trip!
Another week has passed...We are now at 25 weeks. We have not moved up any on the list but are still hopeful that it will happen. I am pretty sure we will not be making the August closure and I am trying to be ok with that. It looks like we will be updating our homestudy once again! Our USCIS fingerprints will expire Nov 1st.
Just Don and I are headed out of town for the weekend. He has National Guard duties but I am tagging along to get away. Emilie is headed to Grandma and Papa's. Randy is going on a scout campout and Tifanie is staying here. She has to work tonight but is off tomorrow. She will watch the critters here. We are just going until Sunday. Don has to go to a ceremony to see some of his soldiers off and then a conference to go to in Springfield. I am just going along for the ride and taking a few good books.
Well...Praying for lots of referrals in the coming weeks. :)
Have a Blessed weekend.

WAITING 24 WEEKS!
We have made it to week 24...Honestly, it is hard to believe it is already April 2009!! We are already 4 months into the year. WOW...BUT...this week has been a tough one for me. I have been down most of the week. Not real sure why just feeling the blues. My poor family are feeling it as well. I am sure they are tired of Mom/wife being SO moody. Hubby wishes he could make it all better! Believe me I wish he could. Anyway...it WILL happen someday...RIGHT???? We have not waited as long as some have on the waiting list but we have been waiting for over two years to see our little guy and that is what is bothering me right now! Anyway...on to happier things...
I took Emilie to see the new Hannah Montana movie today. I was wondering if it would be any good and I was pleasantly surprised. Cute movie! I even saw some Daddies with their little girls...How sweet!:)
Tonight we are coloring eggs. YEAH... We are waiting on Dad to get home. I am making Randy participate we will see if it gets ugly or not!! You know at 16 how dare I ask him to do something with the family! :)
I hope you all have a blessed Easter. HE IS RISEN...

SPRING BREAK... OR WAS IT??
Well...I tried to download some pictures but it wouldn't let me so I will try again later.
We did have a good time on our mini vacation. We left early Saturday morning and got to the Zoo at about 10ish. It was a bit cold and rainy but most of the sites are inside which made it really nice. We stayed there most of the day. Emilie was upset that she did not get to see the elephants, rhinos, and lions. They were working around the elephant area so we assumed the elephants and rhinos were put up. We did not see the lions anywhere. Their cage was empty inside and out?? Em wanted to know who she could complain to! :) The gorillas were quite entertaining this time. One even scared Emilie when it ran up and hit the glass where she was standing!
When we left we were all tired of walking so we headed to our Hotel. I didn't realize when I booked it that we were right next to a Casino. BUT it was a really nice hotel with a nice indoor pool and hot tub. We went and ate and then hung out at the pool and hot tub for the night.
We woke to SNOW!!! We were glad that we had museums planned for that day. Randy wanted to go the Air and Space Museum. It was pretty cool. They got to do a simulator thing. It was funny all you could hear was Emilie screaming at first. Then we went to the Union Station Museum. They had a special chocolate display going on. They were even doing chocolate samples that day! YUM...We tried to walk around at the Old Market but it was snowing and wind was really bad. We ended up just going to the candy shoppe and eating at Spaghetti Works and then going back to the Hotel for more of the pool and hot tub.
Randy was happy that he got to eat dolphin and shark! YUCK...
We headed home Monday and got home at about 1. I am just about caught up on laundry and am starting the weekly routine.
Am praying for some referrals this week!

23 WEEKS!!
We have now been waiting 23 weeks to see our little guy's face. I think we are on the 2nd half of our wait now and I am struggling some days! It is tough to think we have been on this journey so long. I know the end result will make it all worth it but it is still tough. I tend to be on my knees a lot lately! And I am reminded daily that God is a God of miracles and He alone can make a way where there seems to be no way. I am holding on to that these days.
Last night hubby and I went out to dinner to kind of celebrate having the referral money! God has surely blessed us as we have been saving! We are so thankful for all of the support we have received! Now we begin saving for travel...whenever that will be!? We sat down to eat and were talking about the baby. Don said he didn't mind the wait but was frustrated with the not knowing when. We tend to be planners. We like to know what is going on. :) This has been difficult for both of us. I told him I WAS tired of the wait! Just had to be honest...but I think he already knows this. We enjoyed talking about having baby showers and ideas about traveling as well. It was nice to just be able to talk!
Tomorrow we are headed to Omaha, Nebraska. The kids begin Spring Break so we are going to head out for a few days to take a break! We are planning to go to the zoo and walk downtown and take in a museum. Emilie has been wanting to go to a museum?? SO...We are praying for better weather than they are predicting! I am hoping to take some photos and will try to remember to post them on Tues.
I hope you all have a blessed weekend. Join me in praying for lots of referrals in April!
